Face shields in RLP as a replacement for an Altagsmaske

May 1, 2020

Face face shields are now permitted as a substitute for the everyday mask according to the "Mouth-Nose-Coverage Interpretative Guidance" from the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

The face shields are of course not a substitute for FFP2/3 filter masks and in hospitals the face shields are worn as additional protection in combination with a filter mask.

However, for areas with a lower risk of infection, where an everyday mask is now mandatory, face shields  are now also permitted as a substitute according to the design guidance from the country.
